Days of Poetry and Wine

Every year in the last week of August there is an international festival, the Days of Poetry and Wine, which combines poetry and the promotion of the highest quality Slovenian wines. The illustration commission for each year of the festival is that each time a different illustrator creates one main illustration with its own made-up character who is reading. There are also some smaller illustrations made to support the identity of the festival. I have made for this commission some other characters (see below): the profound octopus and the hybrid of half octopus and half woman, but the client insisted on the more abstract character - a woman who is reading and a person who is rather less defined.
